University of Alaska Fairbanks
Graduated in May, 1983 with a B.S. in Biology and a strong background in computer science. I have taken programming classes in C, APL, RPG, RPG III, Pascal, COBOL and Assembly language. I have taken operating system classes in VMS, UNIX and AS400. In addition to these I have learned BASIC and FORTRAN and HTML (to a sufficient extent to tutor friends). I'm also acquainted with SPSS, Pearl, Prolog and GMAP (I can program in them, but don't know them well enough to do it smoothly or quickly).
Other computer skills I have mastered include accounting using Quickbooks; plotting; batch processing; file I/O; building, editing and manipulating text and numeric files; time-sharing control; data entry and text formatting using Word Star, WordPerfect, ROFF, Q.E.D., Oak and EDIT. I am also familiar with many different micro computers and am well versed in the methods of interfacing them with a mainframe via phone lines, networks, wireless, etc.
I am also skilled at installing, removing and modifying windows computers, and have done extensive work to micros for Ray's Rentals, TANSTAAFL Inc, ISECCo and Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
