Having had a very good time on all my previous wanderings, I buckled down and got to work…
During these 2 months I was registered in school, and concentrating on getting good grades. I put in an average of 40 hours/week on school work, and then another 20 hours a week working for TANSTAAFL.

It is during this period that I managed to start giving Chris regular days off (Sat & Sun). Everything added together, I had very little time to myself! The only day off I had was when Frankie and I drove 190 miles up the haul road, to the Kanuti River. It was a long drive (4.5 hours), and then we snowshoed (me) and skied (her) a couple of miles down the river. We had hopped to be able to go in to the hot springs over spring break, but that fell through. This was the only break I took during these 2 months, so I was real happy to start Spring Break.
