Sithylemenkat Lake

Sithylemenkat Lake is a lake (air photo) about 40 miles south of Bettles, Alaska and 140 miles NNW of Fairbanks. Located on the northern edge of the Ray Mountains (no, not named after yours truly), it is a round lake about 2.2 (verify size) miles in diameter. As a geologist I have been quite interested in it for some time, for it represents a possible impact crater. Another interesting geological note are the hot springs in the center of the lake (air photo; ground photo).
